A block of land exists whatever the family circumstances. Sometimes a change of family plans, sometimes just not having a use for that land which you might have inherited. These blocks are expensive to keep; even to visit.

But this real estate might have a use. Don't let a council just take over your block just because you do not want to continue paying rates, or continue with mowing and upkeep.

I studied property economics and development at university, and am trying to make use of some country blocks of land to make affordable homes, with special designs, so that the residents can usually run a home-based-business.

This is helping people become independent of government support. My concepts can pay reasonable, although budget, prices for land, and, sometimes, even for existing sheds or shops. Or, I can just pay some cash and take over the responsibity of the land from you.

Land like:

• centre city small plot
• tiny village lot on which a shop might have existed, sometimes only 5m x 20m
• hamlet or town quarter acre or half acre or
• one acre sitting miles from anywhere, often with no services
• two or twenty acres in the bush or up a mountain
• even the property which has been affected by changed council regulations.
• land with an old house, shop, garage or shed
• any shire, municipality, local government area

You might never go to the land great aunt Nellie left you out west of Charleville, or in Tasmania. But, I shall go to those remote parts of New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia.

Indeed, I have been to many hamlets, villages and towns in these states. Part of my work with my family firm of Pocket Books has been to draw hundreds of maps of towns and states. I may know the land you own already, or least know the locality.
