That‘s the theme for Senior Week in Queensland this year.

Events and activities kick off across the State tomorrow, 13^th August, through to the 21^st of the month.

Seniors Week aims to:

• Improve community attitudes towards older people and ageing
• Facilitate community participation and activity by older people, including those from Indigenous and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
• Enhance community connections and inter-generational relationships.

What’s on around Gladstone

Gladstone Regional Council will be hosting a Seniors Week festival designed to get seniors educated, energised, entertained and engaged.

Activities include Gala Dance Events, Mayoral Afternoon Teas, Tours and a range of workshops.

 In honour of the week Moreton Bay Regional Council invites the region’s older residents to a unique Seniors Week Concert at Redcliffe Cultural Centre on August 18th and to register for paid and free activities for seniors from August 16th onwards, as part of the ‘Older and Bolder’ Sports and Recreation program beginning 1st September.
